Scrappy Trips Around the World I've made this quilt pattern more than any other. You might even say I have a thing for it. One patch quilts are very similar in design and creation, and I love finding new variations on both. The one patch can also be used to create a Bargello look, and I have a quick tutorial for the tried-and-true labeling and sewing method I use. I think you will find it very helpful. a blue and green quilt on the floor with wood floors in the background, along with an orange flowered design

Coleen made this fun quilt for her grandson using dinosaur and reptile fabrics. She cut 5" squares from the selected fabrics and used the traditional Trip Around the World layout for the blocks. The blue print border really compliments the design. I quilted it with the Popcorn pantograph, used beige So Fine thread and Quilters Dream Blend batting.

a quilt hanging on the wall next to a potted plant

This is a very special baby quilt for my daughter because it is made from the tablecloth fabric of her wedding, twelve years ago. I originally was going to make her and my son-in-law a double wedding ring quilt, and actually had a few piece cut out, put it aside and never got back to it. With the news of the baby, their first, my fourth grandchild, my daughter suggested how, if I still had the fabrics, they would make a very nice baby quilt. I agree. I found this pattern in Country Quilts in…

It's a great way to use scraps, and delightful to see how the different patterns emerge as you go. I am making a classic "Scrappy Trip" right now, you can see my progress on Instagram @woodberry_way (#marquittascrappytrip). I received a quilt order for twins this week that needed to be finished rather quickly, so I…
