This American flush-mounted glass paneled hall lantern is a rare survival from the Art Deco period. From the detailed hexagonal bronze two-tier frame hang the molded frosted glass panels, each supported by two rosette-form nuts. This pilaster is inspired from the Empire State Bldg art deco decor featuring a faceted capital and pilaster combination. The standard art is run full length through the bottom of the pilaster to permit trimming.
