A MID-19TH CENTURY DIAMOND TIARA. Composed of a series of nine old-cut diamond graduating flowerhead clusters centred by old-cut pear and cushion shape diamond collet highlights, interspersed by ten similarly-set stylised Toy cusp motifs of ribbon scroll design, raised on an undulating diamond line frame, mounted in silver and gold, circa 1850. Elizabeth Kotromanic of Bosnia (c. 1339 - January 1387) was the daughter of Ban Stephen II of Bosnia who became queen of Hungary upon her marriage to Louis I, King of Hungary and Poland, in 1353. The Crown of Elizabeth Kotromanic of Bosnia in Zadar, was given by Louis I of Hungary to St. Simeon shrine in Zadar, Croatia.

The Crown of Scotland was remade in its modern form for King James V of Scotland  in 1540. It is part of the Honours of Scotland the oldest set royal regalia in the United Kingdon. In 1540, the bonnet of velvet and ermine was added, bringing it to its present form. An earlier form is shown in the portrait of James IV of Scotland  in the Book of Hours, done for his marriage to Margaret Tudor in 1503: this sets the latest date of original manufacture.
