The C&O Canal winds 184 miles along the Potomac River from Cumberland, MD to Georgetown/DC. I rode the towpath on a solo bicycling trip that lasted 3 days. It was nice to be alone with nature, but sometimes I begged for a companion. Overall, I enjoyed it very much :-)
