NTK 2: Montesquieu was a French noble who wrote a famous book in 1748, "The Spirit of the Laws", that explained his thoughts and studies of government. He used the Scientific Method to explain the social and political relations in humans. He recognized republics, despotism, and monarchies. He spilt the government into three branches, the executive, legislative, and judicial branch. This created a separation of power.
