Hispano árabe stallion - (Spanish Arabian). The Hispano-Árabe has been bred in Andalusia since 1800. The current breed standard was published in 2002, and modified in 2005. At the end of 2010, a total of 5835 horses were registered, of which approximately 60% were in Andalusia. The breed is considered a "Raza Autóctona en Peligro de Extinción", or autochthonous breed in danger of extinction.
