Santa Marta, Colombia -- La Ciudad Perdida (The Lost City). Hidden (literally) in the crevices of northern Colombia’s Santa Marta Sierra Nevada mountain range, La Ciudad Perdida was built by the Tayrona people around 800 AD.
Saint Martha, Mary and their brother Lazarus were close friends of Jesus. He came to their home as a welcomed guest. The sisters feel free to call on Jesus at their brother’s death, even though a return to Judea at that time seems almost certain death.
