Miguel Gregorio Antonio Ignacio Hidalgo-Costilla y Gallaga Mandarte Villaseñor May 1753 – 30 July more commonly known as Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla or simply Miguel Hidalgo, was a Mexican priest and a leader of the Mexican War of Independence.

Hidalgo lost Creole was executed after victories. Revolution continued and conservative Creoles under Augustín Iturbide won independence. New state which was monarchy based on Creole dominance collapsed in
