Pres.Macapagal was a political ally of the Rojas clan during those times. In fact, the president stood as godfather in my younger sister's ( Marybeth) baptism in 1958.

Marita Rojas Joco (now Shirani) as the queen of the Mayflower Festival in Cavite City during the 50s. At her back and partially hidden is Soledad Rojas Joco. Marita was the adopted daughter of Soledad Rojas Joco and Engr.Amado Joco. She's the biological child of Bernardo S.Rojas and Virginia Salcedo Rojas.

Bernardo S.Rojas son of Honorio Rojas and Maria Sipriaso, of Cavite City ( and my dad). He was a businessman ,a poet, a writer, an illustrator and a philanthropist.He also served briefly as vice mayor of Cavite City.
