This 86,000 sq.ft. hangar contains 4 exhibition halls where you can admire several locomotives, including the Pays de Waes, the oldest preserved steam locomotive in Europe, as well as a thousand of objects related to the railway world, drawings and models. The lighting is at times dramatic, at times vibrant, at times animated.
Studio Louter developed as many as 129 items for the renovated Noordbrabants Museum in Den Bosch; from models to animations. In the museum, which focuses on the history, art and culture in the province of North Brabant, personal accessibility is key. For this project we were responsible for the AV and multimedia while Opera Amsterdam was responsible for the spatial concept and the design. #exhibitiondesign #interactivemap
Five distinct themes were translated into five spatial metaphors. Interactive installations and AV help the visitor discover new perspectives on the collection and on their own views of science. He faces ethical dilemmas like a real doctor, steps in the shoes of a 17th century pharmacist and is challenged to protect the Netherlands against the water during the “Polder game’. He learns that science is the work of men and women. #videomapping #medicalinteractive
