Unveiled at the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso in Mexico City, the Dior Cruise 2024 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri explores the Latin American country’s artisanal and cultural identity, and the enduring influence of Frida Kahlo. The artist’s characteristic mixing of western and indigenous costume is referenced in the juxtapositions of masculine tailoring with a preponderance of lace, feminine volumes, decorative handwork and natural motifs such as the symbolic butterfly.
