Polo Grounds, Manhattan, NY, May 16, 1962 - The Mets Gil Hodges rounds first base and on his way to an inside-the-park home run. The round-tripper against the Chicago Cubs tied the game at 5-5 in the 8th inning and the Mets would win it in the 10th on a Felix Mantilla single scoring John DeMerit with the winning run. The win would improve the Mets record to 9-18 while the Cubs would drop to 9-23.
