DIY Sweet Red Bean Zongzi at Home | DIY Sweet Red Bean Zongzi at Home Written Recipe:https://cicili.tv/red-bean-zongzi/ | By CiCi Li | Today let's make bread bean hello my friend this is CiCi and today we're going to make bread bean zongzi. First we're going to soak the bamboo leaves in water for overnight. The serving for today is twelve Zongzi. Then rinse the gluteinous rice. And soak in water for overnight. Also rinse the azuki beans. And soak in water for overnight. So during the second day we're going to wash the bamboo leaves. And I'm just going to add a little bit of vegetable oil in it. And let it soak for about 5 minutes. The oil will prevent the sticky rice from sticking to the bamboo leaves when you unwrap them. Then we're going to drain the glutenous rice and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add in the salt. And sugar. Mix well. Also add in the drained bazooki beans. Mix them together. Today, we're just going to use these prepackaged red bean paste. If you want to, you can also make your own and for the recipe, I'll put it on my website at Sicily. TV. Take one tablespoon of the red bean paste and we're going to make it into a ball. To put the tones together first we're going to drain the bamboo leaves and then wipe them dry with paper towels. Use a pair of kitchen shears to trim off about one inch of its end. And we're going to be working with three bamboo leaves at a time. So first take two of them and lay them out horizontally and the smooth side up. Then place the smaller leaf on top of the bigger one. Then we're going to flip them over like this. And make it into a Kong. To fill the Kong first we're going to add one tablespoon of the rice mixture. Also add in one red bean paste ball. Then top with another three tablespoons of rice mixture. To cover this up we're going to place another bamboo leaf on the side just like this. Then we're going to faux on the left side inward. And then also the right side inward. And then faux over the remaining parts of the leaves. Tightly cover everything. And just make sure that there's no opening. And now we're going to use kitchen twine or cooking twine to tightly wrap everything several times and then tie a knot at the end. And just repeat with the rest. In a large pot of water, add in the they should be completely submerged in the water. Cover the lid. So first over high heat, bring the Zongzi to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 2 hours. You might want to check every 30 minutes and add additional hot water if it is no longer covers the zongzi. Take out the zongzi and drain all the water. Before you open the Zongzi up, you might want to wait for an hour so then the Zongzi will hold your shape much better. So let's give it a try and see how it taste like. Mm. It looks amazing right now. Look at that. Mm wow. I must say this is one of the best songs that I have ever tried. The sticky rice has fully absorbed the bamboo leaves aroma. Make it really floral.
