E6.12: Like a Virgin- A dragon is flying around town kidnapping virgins, and the Winchesters look for a way to kill it. Sam has his soul back, & doesn't remember much about the past year. While Dean is trying to get the sword forged from dragon's blood, Castiel is filling Sam in on the details of the past year.
E6.11- Appointment in Samarra- Dean visits an old family friend;a doctor, and has himself killed for 3 minutes, during which he meets with Death to make a deal. Sam's soul is still locked in Lucifer's cage, & Dean wants it back. Death offers to protect Sam with a wall, but he has an offer of his own. Death wants a vacation, & Dean has to take his place for 1 day. To make things more complicated, Sam is brewing a spell that will keep his soul OUT. And he needs the blood of a father figure.
6.10; Caged Heat: Sam & Dean bring Crowley his creatures, but he's not holding up his end to return Sam's soul. Meg becomes a partner so she can kill Crowley, but Samuel refuses to help after making his own deal to bring Mary back from the dead. He changes his mind, & the group tracks Crowley to his hideout, but Samuel sells the brothers out & they get locked in the cells. They escape, & Cas shows up with Crowley's bones & burns him, & just like that, Crowley is gone...
6.9; Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Disappearances lead the Winchesters to a watchmaker, who eludes that his son was "taken". Dean is abducted by a bright light & Sam warns him about the 4th kind of close encounter. A crazy lady who believes in fairies serves tea in really small cups, and a leprechaun is making deals in exchange for first born sons. Will Sam make a deal to get his soul back? On a personal note, I need to add that soulless Sam is a laugh riot! 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!
6.8; All Dogs Go to Heaven: A skinwalker has shacked up with a family as their family dog. When he gets hit bay a car & taken to the pound, Sam & Dean pick him up & hold him for questioning. They find out that the skinwalkers are recruiting just like the vampires. Crowley had Samuel collecting creatures for him, now that he's the king of hell. Will the Winchesters fall in line and collect the pack leader of the skinwalkers in return for Sam's soul?
6.7; Family Matters: Castiel confirms that Sam was pulled from hell without a soul, which is why he's not been himself. The new family of hunters, led by Samuel, has kidnapped the lead vampire instead of killing him, & are torturing him for information. The Winchesters ask politely & learn that this vampire is recruiting because they are in a war. Also, the reason Samuel has taken him is so the vampire will reveal where Purgatory is, & he's only "doing what he is told". What is Samuel hiding?
6.6; You Can't Handle The Truth: The truth can be painful, especially when hearing it causes you to kill someone, or yourself. Peopke can't stop telling the truth, & its too much for most to handle. An ancient horn was stolen from a music shop that the victims shopped at, leading Dean to believe that the horn is Gabriel's horn of truth. However one of the victims has summoned the goddess Veritas, & the diety wants to be worshipped. And to eat your tongue...
5.6; Live Free or Twihard: Dean gets turned by a vampire while Sam watches, doing nothing until its over. Luckily, there is a cure noted in Samuel's grandfather's journal. Dean makes it into the nest, & kills everyone, learning that the vampires are taking orders from an unseen telepathic leader, & they aren't afraid of hunters anymore. They are recruiting. Dean takes the elixir cure but as he remembers neing turned he realizes that Sam let it happen. Who is this new Sam?
6.4; Weekend At Bobby's: Bobby searches for a way to get his soul back from Crowley, and enlists the help of Rufus, after helping him bury a body that isn't quite dead. His frustration mounts throughout the episode as more & more people call Bobby for help but no one seems to want to return the favor. Rufus comes through with a ring that belonged to Crowley's son; Bobby summons him & learns where Crowley's bones are buried
6.3; The Third Man: Lisa encourages Dean to return to hunting, so he meets Sam on a job in Pennsylvania, where several cops are dying plague related deaths. The Winchesters learn that the cops were involved in the false accusation & murder of an innocent young man. The victim's brother admits to having sold his soul to an angel in exchange for revenge & justice, & Castiel has to figure out which angel is behind it. Raphael & his followers are causing trouble in their attempts to rule in Heaven
6.2; Two and a half men: A baby snatcher has taken 4 children in a month, & when Sam stops the most recent abduction, he calls Dean desperate for help. Dean wants to stay retired from hunting & continue building a normal life with Lisa, but decides to help his brother. Once they learn how to change a diaper, they start hunting the shape shifter, who has been posing as the husbands of women, & then coming back for his children, who oddly enough, can shift too.
6.1; Exile On Main Street: Dean is with Lisa & Ben, keeping his promise to Sam to live a normal life with a family. Everything is fine until Sam shows up, along with Mary's cousins & Samuel, her father. Sam tells Dean that they're hunting Jinn, who are coming for revenge. Dean hides his family at Bobby's house, & the hunters go back to Dean's to lure the jinns to them. This new season brings all kinds of questions. Who exactly are these family members? Why didn't Sam contact Dean sooner?
5.22; Swan Song: Sam says yes to Lucifer in an attempt to take control of his own body & kill Lucifer. When Lucifer meets Michael on the battlefield, Dean, Bobby & Castiel show up to help Sam. Lucifer is too strong & kills them, but before he beats Dean to death, he sees the Impala. He sees what the Impala means, what it stands for. And in that moment of clarity, uses the horsemens' rings to open the gate of hell to trap Lucifer forever.
5.21; Two Minutes To Midnight: They've found Pestilence in a nursing home, but when they get close enough to kill him, their human bodies can't get past the menengitis, plague and syphillis. Castiel helps cut the ring finger off, but Pestilence tells them its already too late. Crowley explains the vaccine for the swine flu, & how that is what is really going to destroy the world. The vaccine is Croatoan. Death shows up in Chicago, & Bobby loans his soul to Crowley. Death gives his ring to Dean
5.20; The Devil You Know: Pestilence is in town, & while Sam & Dean are tracking him down, Crowley shows up in the Impala. There's a pharmacutical manager, who happens to be a demon, who is trying to spread the Croatoan virus throughout the world. This demon also has history with Sam; it turns out that Sam's good friend has been possessed for years & actually introduced Sam to Jess on Azazel's instruction, so that she could be murdered & Sam would go back to hunting.
5.19; Hammer Of The Gods: Sam & Dean are herded to a 4 star hotel in the middle of nowhere, & find themselves the guests of honor at a meeting of the ancient gods. They are meeting to determine how they will handle the Judeo-Christian apocalypse. The idea is to use the vessels of Michael & Lucifer as bargaining chips. Gabriel crashes the party & tries to talk the gods out of their plan, but Kali assures him that if anyone is going to destroy the planet, it will be her
5.18; Point of No Return: The angels are tired of trying to convince Dean to be Michael's Sword, so they resurrect Adam & convince him to be the sword. Sam, trying to protect his brothers, locks them both up to keep either of them from agreeing to be Michael's meat suit. Now that Dean wants to protect Adam, he's more willing to the terms, which is exactly what the angels want
5.17; 99 Problems: A town infested with demons use their faith to protect themselves. Sam & Dean team up with them, but when the leaders cut all communication with the outside world & impose a curfew, the Winchesters start to question whats really going on. A drunk Castiel enlightens them on the true identity of the town "prophet", the whore of Babylon, who has been posing as a prophet of the angels & cleansing the town by murdering sinners
5.16; Dark Side of the Moon: The brothers are murdered, and they go to Heaven, where Zacchariah searches for them so he can bring them back to life. Sam & Dean can't be hosts to Michael & Lucifer if they're dead. While they're traversing Heaven, the Winchesters experience a series of memories, both good & bad. Castiel tells them that they have to find the angel Joshua, but when they find him, he doesn't tell them what they expect, or want to hear.
5.15; Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid: The dead are rising, But they aren't like normal zombies. They aren't killing or causing havoc. Dean & Sam are horrified when Bobby invites them over & his dead wife bakes them a pie. Bobby does not want to kill his wife again, even though she is a zombie, but Sam & Dean learn that the other risen dead in town are turning. They have to convince Bobby before its too late, as well as the zombie sympathizing sherriff, who's son has recently risen & come back to her
5.14; My Bloody Valentine: Cupid is having an issue with his targets killing eachother instead of simply mating. When the couples' hunger for eachother is noticed by Castiel, he reasons that the 3rd horseman, Famine, is close. Sam still craves demon blood, & with Famine in town, its harder for him to resist. Even Castiel is eating Dean's leftovers, & Dean continues to privately mourn Jo's death.
5.13; The Song Remains The Same: Sam & Dean travel back in time to find Anna, who is determined to kill Mary, preventing Sam & Dean from being born. Dean reveals to Mary who he & Sam really are & try to get her to leave John before they can be conceived so the war never starts. Uriel is called in by Anna, & John becomes host to Michael, who kills Anna on the spot. He explains to Dean that there is no escape from his destiny, & free will is an illusion
5.12; Swap Meat: A frustrated young warlock switches bodies with Sam & causes all kinds of chaos. As Gary, the warlock, attempts to keep up with Dean as Sam, Sam has bathroom issues after learning that Gary's body is allergic to wheat gluten. Dean knows something is wrong with "Sam's" new attitude, but thats just the beginning. The real Sam is kidnapped by Gary's friends & learns that they've been talking to demons, & they want to collect the bounty on Dean's head.
5.11; Sam Interrupted: Sam & Dean get themselves locked up in a mental institution to hunt a wraith that has been attacking the patients. An ex-hunter is locked away already, & with his help, the Winchesters set about identifying the wraith. But who believes a mental patient when they say they've seen a monster? And can the Winchesters keep their own sanity on this hunt?
5.10; Abandon All Hope: Lucifer is in town & the hunters have the Colt. When they arrive, Castiel is shocked to see reapers everywhere. They think Lucifer's plan is to unleash Death, another horsemen. Dean & Jo share a moment (I cried), Castiel is held captive by Lucifer, & the Winchesters go on to fight the devil themselves
