Pollen analysis helps renew interest in 1976 'Woodlawn Jane Doe' case
Forty years later, no one has identified the young woman found September 1976. But Baltimore County detectives say they're still trying to identify the "Woodlawn Jane Doe" – and new forensic evidence culled from microscopic pollen grains that clung to her clothing has bolstered a theory that she came from the Boston area.
Unidentified Remains: Baker County, White Female U159449883
Location Found: City of Newton, 15 miles south of Albany, GA in Baker County, State road 91 Was wearing gray t-shirt, “Brittinia” jeans, white “Keds” tennis shoes, white socks, red white and blue bandana. Also in her possession was a white pillow, similar to those found in hotels.
Unidentified Remains: Putnam County, White Male
The remains were located in a loaded coal car train from Tennessee at the Georgia Power Plant in Eatonton, Georgia. Dental, fingerprints and x-rays are available.
Unidentified Remains: Jones County, Male 1188244451
The remains were found one mile east of Jerrell Plantation Rd. near City Road #51 and Caney Creek Rd. Cause of death was a gunshot wound. Clothing: 32" waist, khaki pants, button embossed with "Dweedo", Leather belt with a blue swordfish design. Right hand pinky ring is solid black plastic or coral.
