Knitted Gift for Mom (or Dad if They Weren't So Very Purple)
Here's what my mom got for Mother's Day this year Golf Club Head Covers! Not new golf clubs. I love my mom and all, but I really can't afford that. Now I just need to find a way to masculinize these for my dad or FIL for Father's Day. I'm sure it would include a lot less fluff and less vibrant colors... we'll see if I can pull it off. I got the pattern from my awesome Aunt Maureen and you can find it at the bottom of this post. It is super easy! Here is a close up of all that fluffy…
This pattern uses a distinctive pattern stitch. It looks as though it might be uncomfortable, but absolutely isn’t on the leg. I didn’t continue the pattern on the instep, but that could easily be done. I enjoy the way the pattern works out with self-striping yarn, as first one color and then another is emphasized in the reverse stockinette bands.
Are you a newer knitter and want to make your first beanie? Do you just want a plain go-to beanie for multiple sizes? Or how about a beanie pattern where you can get creative and play with stripes, colourwork or texture? Then this is the pattern for you!
Lots of Lotus Cowl
Here is an easy cowl pattern that can be knit in either dk or worsted yarn. The gauge is not essential, but using the smallest needle recommended for your yarn is preferable as this pattern looks best knitted in a tighter gauge. Solid colored or lightly tonal yarns are recommended.
