Nymphaea (water lily) is a genus of hardy and tender aquatic plants in the family Nymphaeaceae. There are about 50 species in the genus, which has a cosmopolitan distribution. Nymphaea nouchali is the national flower of Bangladesh.

All of the ponds in Sukhothai were full of neon pink flowers. This photo looks oversaturated on my monitor. Believe it or not, I turned down the saturation. The flowers really were just an outwordly pink.

This feisty oriental lily is very fragrant and has large roaring 8-9" diameter blooms! We adore the pink color, with deep pink stripes and of course the spots on the petals add even more to this robust pink lily.
