The Laceration Course | 3D Animation | Simple Interrupted Suture

Here is a quick animation of the simple interrupted suture. Key points here-enter the tissue at 90 degrees. Use your needle driver or forceps to pull the needle through and reposition to enter the dermis on the opposite side. Enter and exit the epidermis from an equal distance from the wound edges. Tie off the knot with a standard instrument tie. We will have some more in-depth tutorials with these animations coming soon!
