52 of 2012 Weekly Theme: My Own Favourite Shot Taken in 2012 Week #52 Taken April 15, 2012 Title: A Little Off the Top Notes: This was actually a tough theme as picking a favorite photo after a year of shooting is a very hard task.In the end I choose this shot which, while a "classic" of sorts and a highly photographed subject, was still one of my favorites. I liked its grittiness, texture and general creepiness. I hope you do too ;-).

Reinforced Gulag jail door, Topolinoe, Yakutia, Russia
World Tour 2013-2014 - day 29 This door close one of the old shacks composing the former Gulag jail still existing inside the Topolinoe village. Topolinoe village is the administrative center of the Evenes ethnic group. Most of them neither got out from Yakutia and some still live from nomadic reindeer farming.
