The Masquerade Ball occurs during Sarah's dream sequence while Jareth sings "As the World Falls Down". Sarah wanders the ballroom, as if in a trance. The entire choreography of the scene was designed to have a dreamy, trance-like quality. The guests dance, laughing, having a good time. Faerie artist Brian Froud is one of our favorite illustrators of the weird and fantastical — but we're especially fascinated by his design work on The Dark Crystal. Now a new exhibition is opening in New York that showcases the work of Brian, Wendy and Toby Froud, plus some "lost" Labyrinth concept art.

What wpuld have been a cool idea I wish I could have brought to life would be a short sequal or prequel where Jareth is mentoring a girl in magick and his ways as a ruler, basically making her his protégé, but shit goes wrong (ie she gets killed/hurt or abuses her gained powers)
