House lawmakers in Washington vote to extend NASA space shuttle program
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a budget bill that includes money to extend the space shuttle until the end of 2011. The shuttle had been set to retire by September 2010 to make way for Huntsville-developed rockets like the Ares I.
